# TriVis Weather Graphix

> TriVis Weather Graphix is professional weather graphics software for the visualisation and presentation of meteorological data in broadcast, social media, online and print. It is developed by ask – Innovative Visualisierungslösungen GmbH (Darmstadt, Germany) and has been used operationally in weather productions every day since December 1992.

## Software and features

- 2D and 3D visualisation of any weather situation using the latest GPU technology, from still images and animations to complete moving sequences.
- Output for every medium: broadcast files (e.g. MPEG4, MPEG2) for TV and social media, still image maps for online and digital signage, vector output for print – in HD, 4K and beyond.
- Data ingest from a wide variety of sources, including common WMO formats (GRIB1/GRIB2, BUFR/TAC), GeoTIFF, ESRI shapefiles and ECW.
- Production runs on Linux; the touchscreen component (trivisTOUCH) runs on Microsoft Windows.
- Integration into broadcast workflows, e.g. newsroom automation and virtual studio systems.
- trivisWS: a lightweight, browser-based meteorological workstation for desktop and mobile devices.

- TriVis Play-Out: content produced by ask and played out live with TriVis components at the customer's facility.
- TriVis On-Site: software for local graphics production.

- Modular packages: customers can up- or downgrade at any time as budgets and requirements change.

## Customers and references

- In use around the globe, from Scandinavia to South Africa and from the Caribbean across the Middle East to Asia.
- Recent installations include Met Éireann (2026), VTM in Belgium (2024) and Radio Télévision Suisse (2023).
